Alex Spanos is a cyclonic force of energy, passion, commitment and determination. He is a business giant in the real estate and construction industry in addition to owning the San Diego Chargers football team. An unabashed patriot, Mr. Spanos embodies the American dream with his unique vision, instinct and unwavering belief in himself and American ideals. Born of Greek immigrants, he took an $800 loan and went from baking 300 dozen donuts a day to creating a “Fortune 400” company in real estate and construction, building over 80,000 apartment units.
Sharing the Wealth: My Story is a book that shares the knowledge and tactics of Alex Spanos’ success with insightful, behind-the-scenes stories of how it all happened. It is refreshingly honest, helpful and clear in its mission to help others reach their potential.
The Hellenic Museum (HMCC) is located along Chicago’s Cultural Row on the fourth floor of the former National Bank of Greece building, 168 North Michigan Avenue. Founded in 1984, it first opened its doors in 1992 and provides a variety of programs and exhibitions to stimulate artistic, educational and other cultural activities within the Greek-American community and to showcase achievements by Greeks and Greek Americans.
Further, HMCC is the only museum in the United States that is dedicated to the Greek immigrant experience. It recently acquired property in Chicago’s Greek Town where it plans to open a permanent home in the near future.
Admission for this event is $5.00 for Hellenic Museum members and $10.00 for non-members. For more information about the Museum, or this event, please call 312.726.1234, email HellenicMu@aol.com or visit the Museum on line at www.HellenicMuseum.org.
