Live Music, Dancing Mark Hellenic Spring Celebration Sponsored by AHEPA and Daughters of Penelope |

April 28, Dover, NH -- Over 200 danced to their heart's content at the Spring Hellenic Celebration at the Hellenic Hall of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. The event was sponsored by the AHEPA Thesseum Chapter #248 and the Daughters of Penelope Itona Chapter #177. The Celebration was chaired by the president of the Thesseum chapter, Greg (kalo pathi) Koutrelakos, and the president of the Itona chapter, Maryann Charos. Others assisting with the Celebration were Bill Gatzoulis with the music, flyers and tickets and George Polychronopoulos and Althea Coussoule who coordinated many of the AHEPA and Daughter members in the preparation of the delicious mezethakia which were served throughout the evening.

Amongst the eight piece orchestra which filled the air with great listening and dance music all evening were renowned Sotirios Zorbas with his bouzouki and vocals, Demitri Gribizis with his Epirotiko violin, guitarist George Kaminaris, and the melodic voice of Katerina Geomelos. The proceeds from this Spring Hellenic Celebration fundraiser will be used for the local AHEPA scholarship programs which provide scholastic monetary first year college assistance to graduating high school students within the Thesseum Chapter #248 jurisdiction. -- Bill Gatzoulis
