& Tap Dance Workshop Open
in New Hampshire
A new music and dance school has opened in the beautiful seacoast area of southern New Hampshire: The Music Studio & Tap Dance Workshop. Director Andrea M. Papoutsy offers music and dance instruction to interested learners, ages 2-1/2 and up. Located in the Rosewood Center of Rye at 150 Lafayette Rd. (U.S. Route One), The Music Studio &Tap Dance Workshop offers spring/summer and fall group sessions and individual instruction, as well as an Honor's Youth Music Ensemble, a Seacoast Honors Youth Band for more advanced music students, voice lessons through a Youth Choir, and tap dance and hip hop lessons. The school is a one-stop shop for music and dance: parents and students may also purchase supplies, rent instruments, and purchase leotards, tights, tap shoes there. The studio is conveniently located for parents and learners--in the same building as the SoHo Salon and the pre-school Gymboree center, next to the Rye Air Field Skate Park.
Two veteran teachers and well-respected musicians offer music and voice instruction: Director Papoutsy and Eric Donnelly. With over 21 years of instructional experience in the highly-rated Rye School System, Papoutsy brings a wealth of pedagogical knowledge to her classes. Over the course of her professional career, she has encouraged over 1000 students to play a musical instrument and to sing, her good rapport with younger learners widely recognized. She earned her BMUS (Bachelors of Music) and has completed the Masters program at Boston University School of Music. Donnelley, also a veteran instructor, has earned his BM (Bachelors of Music) in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire.
The Tap Dance Workshop features a Jubilee sprung dance floor and air-conditioned studio. Instructor Andrea Papoutsy, who is an experienced tap dancer, with fifteen years of tap instruction and distinctions on her resume from the Sally Zyla Studio, will feature lessons for all levels, from early pre-school to adult and teen beginners.
